About

a little bit about me

Hi! I'm Rebecca, and I am a hairstylist in Downtown Pensacola. I have lived in Pensacola for ten years now! I love seeing all the changes and signs of growth that have been happening in the recent years. There are so many opportunities for events, art, restaurants, and community but it still has a small town feel.

For as long as I can remember, I have been interested in becoming a hairstylist. I studied cosmetology at the Aveda Institute in Tallahassee, then moved to Pensacola, where I found a wonderful salon called Epic in the downtown Historic District. At Epic, I learned about the Paul Mitchell brand from the salon owner and national Paul Mitchell educator , Stacey Norris.

I love working with guests to find colors, cuts, and styles that fit seamlessly into their lifestyles. I love to laugh and spend time getting to know my guests. I believe that a visit to the hair salon should be a relaxing experience, and I strive to give the best service that I am capable of providing.

When I am not in the salon, you can find me having coffee with friends, playing Ultimate Frisbee, or doing home improvement projects. I have a cat that I have way too many pictures of on my phone, and I love to share pet photos when asked!

the salon

Epic Salon Downtown is a Paul Mitchell focus salon. That means that the stylists use Paul Mitchell products. I have been working at Epic for six years, and I love how well all the stylists work with each other. It is wonderful to be a hairstylist in an environment where everyone is willing to pitch in and help each other out. The salon may be small, but it has a big heart! Stacey, the salon owner works hard to maintain a culture where everyone feels welcome. Feel free to help yourself to a cup of coffee while you are in the lobby!

parking

Epic is located in Downtown Pensacola in the Historic District. On-street parking in front of the salon is free, but fills up fast. There are time limited and paid parking options in the near vicinity as well. Accessible parking is available in the back of the salon, please only use it if necessary. The salon owner wants to ensure that those spaces are available to those that need it, and to the residents that live over and behind the salon.

Occasionally there are some really cool special events that take place at Seville Square, just down the street from Epic, and for some of these the street will be blocked off. I do make an effort to notify anyone that books appointments on days that I know of beforehand that this will be happening.

cancellations and late arrivals

I am making an effort in my business to respect all my guest's time, so for this reason, if you arrive to your appointment 10 minutes late we may have to shorten your service or reschedule for another time. I consider a "last minute cancellation" to be cancelling or rescheduling within 24hrs. of the appointment time. I understand that sometimes life happens, but if I notice that last minute cancellations are becoming habitual, I will require a non-refundable booking fee of $10 per service going forward. The booking fee will be required after one instance of a no-call, no-show.
